THE Coalition would extend the $35 million Community Building Partnership program for another year to allow small non-profit groups to upgrade cricket nets, refurbish church halls or build job training facilities. Each electorate would get $300,000 in the next financial year to be distributed to councils and non-profit groups for infrastructure that would contribute to "positive social, recreational or environmental" results. The Opposition Leader, Barry O'Farrell, said electorates with "greater social disadvantage and higher unemployment" would be eligible for an additional $100,000.
